Downtown Developments Feb 2020: A Handful of Restaurants Announced for St Pete and More!

There’s never a dull moment in Downtown St. Petersburg! Along with the updates below, we had a few new businesses open their doors, including an athletic facility, a barbershop and a leasing office. Also, an urban farm and a coffee shop announced expansions. Lastly, we were in a magazine, we launched a new aerial photography column, and we looked ahead to 2020.

Downtown Developments Jan 2020: City Receives $12M Offer for City Block and More!

2020 is off to a strong start! Along with the updates below, we had a few new businesses open their doors, including a yoga studio, a candy and soda shop, a salad restaurant, and a bookstore. Also, an old nightclub was demolished to make room for a tower, a developer started scouting the area for their next project and the city released their plans to revitalize The Deuces.

Downtown Developments Dec 2019: Armature Works Coming Soon to Sundial and More!

We thought the holidays would be slow for St. Pete, but we were wrong! Two large developments were announced for the EDGE District, big changes are coming to Sundial, and much more. As we look forward to the beginning of 2020, we are excited for the opening of the new pier and the Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement, as well as the groundbreaking of 400 Central and Saltaire.

Along with the updates below, a women’s boutique opened, a small-batch ice cream shop opened, a Mexican restaurant opened, a fast-casual restaurant by Hooters was announced, and the apartment boom started to spread beyond Downtown St Pete.

Downtown Developments Nov 2019: Seven-story Apartment Building Planned for 8th St and More!

This city sure keeps us busy! Yet again, this month was full of new projects coming soon to St Pete. However, as we move into the holidays, look for things to slow before ramping back up again for the busy season in early 2020.

Along with the updates below, an Italian market and cafe was announced, a wine cocktail lounge opened, a barbershop re-opened, a brewery expanded, and an affordable housing tower topped out.

Downtown Developments Oct 2019: Affordable Housing to be Built Downtown and More!

One thing is for sure — the wine scene in Downtown St Pete isn’t going anywhere. Over the past few months, a spate of wine bars have been announced for the area. Between Cellar Masters last month, and COPA and Sauvignon this month, St Petians aren’t about to go thirsty anytime soon.

Along with the updates below, plans for the 45-story 400 Central tower were submitted to the city, a new sculpture was installed outside the new police headquarters, a juice bar and eatery expanded in the EDGE, and a creole market and cafe opened in west St. Pete.
