Construction begins on Castille Urbana, a 40-unit condo building, on 3rd Avenue South
NJR Construction Group has achieved a significant milestone with the groundbreaking of Castille Urbana, a mid-rise condominium building in Downtown St. Petersburg.
Located at 600 3rd Avenue South, Castille Urbana is positioned just 150 feet to the east of the previously completed and sold-out Domus Urbana, a sister project, which was also developed by NJR Construction Group.
Plans for Castille Urbana were announced by St. Pete Rising in December 2021 with reservations for the residences beginning in 2022.
The five-story building will feature 40 residences with two- and three-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 1,158 to 1,650 square feet. Pricing for units at Castille Urbana begin in the $600,000’s.
Notably, Castille Urbana has already secured contracts for over 25% of the building.
“We’re very excited to be able to give even more people the opportunity to live the downtown experience in St. Petersburg,” Neil Rauenhorst, President and CEO of NJR Construction, previously told St. Pete Rising. “We’ve worked hard to offer the perfect mixture of design and amenities, in just the right balance, to offer prices that are lower than anticipated.”
With construction underway, completion on Castille Urbana is expected in 2024. The building will feature covered parking and amenities like a community room, fitness center, dog park, and electric car charging stations.
In addition to Castille Urbana, NJR Construction Group has started site preparation for Claridge Lane Townhomes, a 15-unit townhome development slated for 3rd Street South and 4th Avenue South, across from Camden Pier District.
The five-story townhomes will have three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms with 2,200 square feet of living space. Pricing for the Claridge Lane Townhomes begins at $1.3 million.
With site preparations underway, vertical construction on the townhomes is expected to begin later this year.
