Downtown St. Pete has experienced an overabundance of construction over the past three months. It's nearly impossible to walk through downtown and not run into a construction site. For starters, the demolition of the "cheese grater" building at 400 Central Ave begun. In the EDGE District, The District on 9th townhouses were announced and the site of Bainbridge 930 Central Flats started to undergo site preparation in anticipation for new apartments and retail. Also, The Chihuly Collection completed their move from Beach Drive to 720 Central Ave. We cannot wait for these projects to be complete, but for now we hope you enjoy this quarter's photo update!
Quick update on The Arlington where construction is progressing smoothly. The first phase, which consists of 12 of 34 town homes in the development, is currently underway and plumbing being installed now. In the next few weeks the foundations should begin being poured. Completion of phase 1 is expected in April or May of 2015.
A new townhome project in Downtown St.Petersburg is under development a few blocks west of Mirror Lake. This 34-unit development will feature homes between 1,700-2,100 square feet. Looking at the renders it appears that each townhome will be 3 stories with a 4th floor terrace, some of which will offer striking skyline views. This project will be a great addition to downtown.

🛴💨 SCOOTERS IN ST PETE 🛴💨 Yesterday, City Council approved an ordinance that would allow scooter companies to participate in a one-year pilot program in St Pete. 😁🎉 Although scooters could hit the streets by late winter, the there will be quite a few stipulations: .
⚠️ Scooters will be banned from sidewalks and along the waterfront trail
⚠️ Scooters can be ridden within a bike lane, if there is one, on roads with speed limits of 30 miles per hour and under
⚠️ Speeds capped at 15 miles per hour
⚠️ The scooters must be parked within designated corrals across the city
The renovations to Avid Brew Company are COMPLETE! 🍺🥳 Although the brewery has been open for over a year now at 1745 1st Ave S, renovations to the front of the building are officially done. 😁 In addition to serving fantastic beer, Avid also sells homebrewing and growing supplies in a retail store attached to the expanded tasting room. Delmar 745, a 65-unit affordable housing community, has TOPPED OUT❗️🥳 Located in Downtown St Pete at 745 Delmar Terrace South, the 12-story building will include a fitness studio, secure covered bike locking stations, lighted walkways, a clubhouse, library and computer room with free WiFi, clothes care facilities, and a children’s alcove. 🚴♂️🏋️♀️📚 The project is expected to wrap up in Spring 2020. ☀️
