26-unit townhome community to be built just north of the EDGE District

Indianapolis-based developer Onyx+East is proposing a new townhome community located just steps away from the EDGE District in Methodist Town.

Alante will be located just north of the EDGE District on 15th Street North, just north of Burlington Avenue North

The 26-unit project, dubbed “Alante”, will be built on 1.1 acres of land at 302 15th Street North, which was formerly home to the St. Pete Eco-Village. The property was sold to Onyx+East in January for $1,650,000.

This will be Onyx+East’s second project in St. Petersburg. Their first development, Six Point Row, is currently under construction at 2611 1st Avenue North in the Grand Central District. The 19-unit townhome project sold out in February.

Alante will offer four distinct floorplans ranging from 1,661 to 2,223 square feet, with 2 to 3 bedrooms, 2.5 to 3 bathrooms, and 1-car or 2-car garages. The community will feature six buildings with modern architecture and wood accents. Architectural design for Alante is being done by St. Pete-based PLACE Architecture.

Each unit at Alante will include a rooftop terrace ranging from 408 to 464 square feet

“We are excited to be in such a prime location, in walking distance to modern amenities and contemporary conveniences," said Onyx+East CEO Kelli Lawrence. “The historic EDGE District is a highly desirable area with an array of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences.”

Each home at Alante will come standard with open-concept living spaces, designer kitchens, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and wood-style flooring. Additional upgrades are also available. Each four-story unit will also feature a rooftop terrace ranging from 408 to 464 square feet depending on the floorplan.

Alante will be located just north of the EDGE District, one of downtown St. Pete’s most popular neighborhoods for shopping, dining, and nightlife.

Always wanted to own a smart house? Units will come pre-wired for the latest smart home features allowing homeowners to control their thermostat, garage, and front door locks with just the touch of their cell phone or the sound of their voice.

Additionally, Onyx+East has designed these homes with sustainable living in mind. As a result of incorporating enhanced energy-saving features and systems, units at Alante will be 50% more energy-efficient than a standard new home according to the RESNET HERS (Home Energy Rating System) Index.

Townhomes at Alante will start in the $400,000’s. Construction is expected to begin in late 2021 and the first units should be delivered in 2022.
