40-unit condo building Domus Urbana reaches completion on 3rd Avenue South in downtown St. Pete
A mid-rise condominium building has wrapped up construction on 3rd Avenue South in downtown St. Petersburg.
Domus Urbana, a 40-unit development at 644 3rd Avenue South, recently began move-ins and the sales team has completed closings on roughly half of the condominium residences. Closing on the remaining units is expected in the coming weeks.
Domus Urbana was developed by NJR Companies. The development was exclusively announced on St. Pete Rising in August 2020. Construction on Domus Urbana began mid-2021 and, later that year, the developer announced the project had sold out.
NJR previously built the 20-unit Regent Lane Townhomes near Beach Drive in 2018.
The five-story Domus Urbana building features four floors of residential space on top of ground floor vehicular parking, bike parking, lobby, and fitness center. The community also includes a dog park.
The residences at Domus Urbana range between 1,158 and 1,650 square feet with two or three bedrooms. Finishes include Bosch stainless steel appliances, solid wood white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, 8-foot windows, 9-foot ceilings, and plank hardwood flooring.
Each condominium also features at least one balcony with corner units having two.
Based on the success of Domus Urbana, the developer announced a sister project: Castille Urbana, a nearly identical condominium project to Domus Urbana at 610 3rd Avenue South.
Site preparations for Castille Urbana are underway and the project is expected to break ground later this year. Castille Urbana is already over 50% sold. Completion is estimated for late 2024.
In addition to Castille Urbana, NJR Companies is also working on Claridge Lane, a 15-unit townhome development that was announced in June 2022.
Claridge Lane is proposed for 357 3rd Street South across from Camden Pier District in St. Petersburg, FL. Construction on the project is also expected to begin later this year and will wrap up in 2024.
