Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opening in the EDGE District
/AltMed, LLC, a Florida-based medical marijuana company, is slated to open a MÜV dispensary at 1101 1st Avenue North.
Downtown St. Pete’s growing EDGE District is set to gain a new business looking to capitalize on an expanding Florida industry. AltMed LLC, a Florida-based medical marijuana company, is slated to open a MÜV dispensary at 1101 1st Avenue North. Barkett Realty was the representing agent on the deal.
MÜV will offer an extensive selection of medical marijuana products including flower, pre-rolls, a wide range of vaporizer pens, topicals, oral sprays, and more. One of MÜV's more unique products are 72-hour transdermal patches, which are simply medicated patches, and metered dose inhalers which feature patent-pending encapsulation technology, basically an inhaler with medical marijuana.
They’re recognized for having one of the widest selections of concentrates for patients needing macro-dosing options and their products have won five Best of Arizona Medical Cannabis awards. All of MÜV’s cannabis is grown in a state-of-the-art indoor facility in Apollo Beach, which is just a short trip across the Skyway Bridge from Downtown St. Pete.
Neighboring MÜV will be an independent medical marijuana doctor that is expected to open in an 800 square foot space.
The dispensary’s location in the EDGE District was important for AltMed, “Part of our mission is to bring cannabis out of the shadows and into the spotlight as part of the evolving and sustainable economy,” says AltMed Marketing Director Todd Beckwith. “The EDGE District checks all these boxes for us and we couldn’t be more excited to be an active member in the local economy to help drive all business.”
MÜV currently has 14 locations throughout Florida and is expected to open several more in the coming year. The St. Pete dispensary will be approximately 3,600 square feet and build-out is expected to cost around $600,000.
Neighboring MÜV will be an independent medical marijuana doctor that is expected to open in an 800 square foot space. While the doctor’s office will not be operating in partnership with MÜV, they will likely benefit from each other.
If all goes according to plan, the facility should open toward the end of April. Once open, MÜV will join other dispensaries in the greater Downtown St. Pete area like MedMen, at 326 5th Avenue North, and Liberty Health Sciences, at 513 Dr M.L.King Jr Street North.
Hours for the dispensary are expected to be Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 5pm. For more information on MÜV, check them out on Facebook and stay tuned for opening events!
