Downtown St. Petersburg’s beloved Paradeco Coffee Roasters is bringing its signature blend of specialty coffee and Art Deco charm to the waterfront with a second location in the Skyway Marina District.
The specialty coffee shop and cafe, which currently operates in the Plaza Tower & Courtyard Shops in downtown St. Pete, has quietly debuted at the newly revamped SkyBeach Resort, located at 6800 Sunshine Skyway Lane South.
The new poolside coffee spot, which features an impressive 3D-printed bar made from renewable and recyclable materials, is one of the latest additions to the 18-acre property, formerly known as the Magnuson Hotel Marina Cove, which recently underwent a significant rebrand and renovation after being purchased.
Impressed by the waterfront setting and extensive renovations at SkyBeach, husband-and-wife duo Thomas Maloney and Sonya Sarkar hope to replicate their downtown success in the resort’s more relaxed, coastal environment.

“What was most noteworthy was how close the café was to the bay—we could see a stunning view of the sunrise over the water and thought this would be the perfect place to sip your morning beverage and enjoy a meal,” said Sarkar. “Also, there are very few food and coffee options in south St. Pete, so we would essentially be the first.”
The Paradeco SkyBeach café maintains a similar aesthetic to its downtown flagship location, featuring tropical colors, lush greenery, Art Deco motifs, curved designs, unique blue quartzite stones, and gold accents. However, this location embraces a slightly different color palette, incorporating light blues, purples, and pops of pink.
The new Paradeco location offers the same daily menu as its downtown counterpart, with additional seasonal drinks and food items.

Paradeco sources its single-origin coffee directly from farms in Colombia, Peru, Ethiopia, and Guatemala, while also rotating seasonal selections from countries like Kenya and Costa Rica. The brand focuses on sourcing from micro-lot and women-owned farms.
The café serves brewed coffee, pour-overs, cold brews on tap, and specialty coffee drinks like a Cold Fashioned, which contains cold brew, Vermont maple syrup, orange bitters, Angostura bitters, oat milk, an orange infused ice block, orange peel, and a maraschino cherry garnish.
In addition to coffee, Paradeco offers matcha and chai lattes, teas, and 16-ounce smoothies made with fresh, never-frozen fruits.
Paradeco also operates an all-scratch kitchen, where all sauces, dressings, syrups, and toppings are made in-house using high-quality organic ingredients and sourced locally whenever possible.
The menu features a variety of gluten- and dairy-free options, infused with superfoods like turmeric, cacao, and spirulina.

The SkyBeach menu includes all-day brunch items, such as the Cashew Ricotta Kale Toast, which contains house-made cashew ricotta, roasted kale, roasted chickpeas, a house-made pesto drizzle, and Brick Street Farms micro red sorrel.
For a heartier option, the menu contains three Superfood Bowls such as the Blue Majik Chia Pudding, Immunity Booster Chia Pudding, and Chaga & Peruvian Cacao Overnight Oats.
Although Paradeco offers best-in-class specialty coffee and food, Maloney and Sarkar view it as something far greater.
“This is more than a café. It’s showing the design and building world that things can be done differently,” said Maloney.
One standout design element is the café’s custom-made 3D-printed coffee bar, built using renewable and recyclable materials by Haddy, a St. Pete-based manufacturer specializing in sustainable and recycled 3D-printed goods and furniture.

“We wanted this project to be different in every way, even challenging traditional building materials,” said Maloney. “The goal was to create a waterproof and indestructible coffee bar since we are right on the bay. We finished manufacturing the bar just before the hurricanes hit Tampa Bay last fall, proving its durability.”
Haddy collaborated with Sofia Hagen, an award-winning designer based in London, to design the bar’s distinctive curved face.
“This collaboration allowed us to push the boundaries of 3D printing and sustainable design to create a space that is not only functional but also artistically compelling,” Hagen said in a statement.
The team describes the Paradeco bar concept as a “breath of fresh air,” as the bar face twists along the café entrance, creating a dynamic visual experience.
The new café is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests can enjoy one of the 16 indoor seats or lounge outside anywhere on the resort property, which also offers free WiFi.
