Localtopia, a celebration of all things local, returns to Williams Park this weekend

Valentine’s Day weekend takes on a community vibe as Localtopia, dubbed “St. Pete’s largest celebration of all things local,” returns to Williams Park this Saturday, February 14th.
Now in its 13th year, the free event organized by Keep Saint Petersburg Local, runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature more than 300 St. Pete-based businesses and live entertainment throughout the park located at 350 2nd Avenue North in downtown St. Pete.
Attendees can expect to see merchants, makers, and popular businesses, such as Sans Market, RECLAIMthreads, Pieces of a Dream Gifts, Revolution Records, NautiGirl Beachwear, The Roaming Petal, Tombolo Books, among hundreds of others.
Food vendors include Pete’s Bagels, The Twisted Indian, 4th Street Pizza, Johnny Nevada’s Tamales & Tacos, Gateway Subs, Churned Ice Cream, Kahwa Coffee, Grassroots Kava House, and Craft Kafe.

Food trucks will line 4th Street North, while canned beer and wine will be sold at “Local Thirst Stations” throughout the park, featuring beers from 3 Daughters Brewing, Green Bench Brewing Co., St. Pete Brewing Co. and other local breweries.
The festival will once again be organized into themed “villages.”
The Arts Village, located near 4th Street North, will feature members of the Clay Collective of St. Pete doing pottery demonstrations and USF students selling their art.
In the Family Village near 3rd Street North, highlights for kids include The Story Garden’s cozy “Book Nook,” a shaded spot for reading, relaxing, and enjoying local stories together. The Marine Exploration Center will also bring a traveling aquarium with touch tanks for hands-on learning experiences for kids.

Meanwhile, at the Health and Wellness Village, Underground Cirque will perform Valentine’s Day-themed aerial and acrobatic shows. Visitors can also find businesses and groups such as The Body Electric Yoga Company, Traditions School of Herbal Studies, St. Pete Athletic, St. Pete Run Fest, and Rollin’ Oats Market.
New this year, a stretch of 2nd Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue North, will be added to accommodate additional vendors selling art, apparel, and accessories, along with a mobile library.
There will also be a “Wall of Local Love,” where eventgoers can declare their love for a local business by adding its name to a heart of the mural piece being created by Second Shift Printing.
The streets surrounding Williams Park will remain closed off to vehicular traffic during the event.

On-street parking will be limited. Additional parking will be available at nearby garages, such as the South Core Garage, Sundial St. Pete Garage, and the Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement.
Free bike valet will be available at the corner of 2nd Street North and 2nd Avenue North, and rideshare pick-up and drop-off will be at the corner of 4th Street North and 2nd Avenue North.
The SunRunner, Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority’s bus rapid transit service, will operate fare-free for Localtopia. The closest SunRunner stops are at 1st Avenue and 5th Street.
The Central Avenue Trolley will also provide free rides.
Also, note that all shows, events, and activities are family-friendly, but pets are not allowed due to the large crowds.
