St. Pete’s largest shopping event Shopapalooza is back this Thanksgiving weekend
/The holiday season is upon us and it wouldn’t be complete without Shopapalooza! Now in its 14th year, St. Pete’s largest outdoor annual shopping event will take place at Vinoy Park on downtown St. Pete’s sparkling waterfront this Thanksgiving weekend – Saturday November 30th and Sunday December 1st from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
With over 350 local makers and small businesses, Shopapalooza is the perfect place to get your holiday shopping done and out of the way.
Best of all, admission is free! So, bring the entire family, including your pets and kids, for a weekend full of shopping, music, entertainment, and fun.
Shopapalooza Festival is a production of LocalShops1 and co-sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg. This year's nonprofit partners are St. Pete Youth Farm and Jump for Kids.
The vendor list includes a mix of artists, jewelry, apparel, food, and drinks.
Shop local clothing boutiques like Ashe Couture, Bay Club, Sip Shop Hooray, The Fashion Spot, and Valhalla Resale.
Pick up a gift from Daydream Shop & Makerspace, Fox & Crow, Glass of Life, Badass Baubles and Things, and Sans Market.
New this year will be a section with nine kidpreneurs from local nonprofit The Kidpreneur Club. Each kidpreneur will be doing demos of their crafts, as well as selling merch.
And be sure to come hungry as there will be a great selection of food for purchase from local restaurants, food trucks and caterers. Local favorites will be in attendance, such as Churned Ice Cream, Beech Kombucha, Red Mesa, Pipo's Cuban Cafe, and more.
A beer garden will be situated next to the main stage offering local brews from 3 Daughters Brewing and Mastry’s Brewing Co.
Other drink options throughout the festival include Beech Kombucha, Noisy Crane Tea, Hogg Batch Coffee, and Herban Flow.
A free kid’s zone will be located on the south end of the festival featuring a music class each day at 11 am, pictures with Santa each day at noon, story time with Mrs. Florida each day at 1pm, a princess meet and greet each day at 2pm, plus glitter tattoos, ornament making, paint-by-numbers, and much more.
As for entertainment, a main stage will have live music playing of indie, rock, and reggae throughout the day.
Additionally, strolling throughout the festival will be a variety of entertainers, such as Victorian carolers, circus performers, and the Gulfport Marching Band on Sunday from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
Parking is available at garages throughout downtown St. Pete, and free trolley rides to and from Shopapalooza will be provided from the Southcore Parking Garage, located on 2nd Street South between Central and 1st Avenues.
