Aerial St Pete: Major Museum Takes Shape, Apartments Rise, and More!

It’s a new year and we’d like to introduce a new quarterly column that we’re really excited about — Aerial St. Pete. Each quarter, we’ll be publishing exclusive aerial photography of the most anticipated Downtown St. Pete developments courtesy of our friend Anthony Bove at AB3 Visuals. Along with the photos, we’ll give you a brief update on each development.

In the first quarter of 2020, we are featuring the Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement, Vantage, Delmar 745, Tru by Hilton, and The Exchange!

Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement
355 4th Street North

The Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement (MAACM) will be the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to the circa 1885 to 1920 American Arts and Crafts movement, which sought to revive and elevate handcraft in the wake of the industrial revolution and greatly influenced modern design history.

The $90 million museum will include an atrium, a circular staircase, 40,000 square feet of gallery space, a retail shop, event space, a 100-seat auditorium, an area for children's education, a graphic arts studio, administrative offices and a 9,000-square-foot destination restaurant and an adjacent 303-space parking garage.

The MAACM is expected to open in Spring 2020.

There will be 8,000 square feet of ground-level retail, however no retail tenants have been announced yet.

The Grand Opening of Vantage’s leasing office will be on January 25th from 12pm to 5pm at 1037 Central Avenue in the EDGE District. Move-ins are expected to begin in April.

Delmar 745

Delmar 745 is an affordable housing community that will cater to individuals making 40 to 60 percent of the area’s median income. The 12-story building, which topped out in October of last year, will include resident amenities such as a library, computer room with free WiFi, outdoor terrace, and fitness center. There will also be access-controlled, on-site parking, energy-efficient appliances, and balconies with city views.

The community is being developed by McCormack Baron Salazar, Inc. and hopes to open in Spring 2020.

Tru by Hilton
1650 Central Avenue

Tru by Hilton is a 132-key hotel going up across the street from three under construction apartment complexes — Artistry, 1701 Central, and Vantage.

The hotel will feature a large lobby, a game room, a 24/7 marketplace, and spacious co-working spaces. Tru St Pete also will include over 10,000 square feet of ground-level retail along Central Avenue. No retail tenants have been announced yet.
