Station House is Coming Soon to Sundial Shopping Center
/The folks behind one of Downtown St Pete’s most popular coworking space have their sights set on expansion. The concept first debuted in Downtown St Pete in 2016 and has since expanded to the 600 block of St Pete and Hyde Park Village in Tampa. Recently, a Station House outpost was announced for the EDGE Collective, a mixed-use project featuring a food hall, hotel, and coworking space in Downtown St Pete.
Now, the creators behind St. Pete’s Station House are developing a space exclusively for Sundial, a shopping center located in the heart of Downtown St Petersburg, FL at 153 2nd Avenue North. The 8,300 square foot project will offer a dynamic mix of co-work and event space in a fun, vibrant lifestyle environment. The new concept will encompass the prime space on the second level of Sundial next to Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
Station House at Sundial will join a massive redevelopment of the shopping center in 2020. Last month, the team behind the popular Armature Works food hall in Tampa announced plans to open a 25,000 square foot location at Sundial.
“When I developed Sundial, I envisioned it being a hub for the community. A place where people could come to meet one another, work, eat, shop and play,” said Sundial Owner Bill Edwards. “This new project will be just that - an epicenter for business professionals to come together to work and an environment perfect for all kinds of events.”
The original Station House was an ambitious project when it debuted in 2014 at 260 1st Avenue South. Housed in a historic building erected in 1911, which was originally used as a fire station, a hotel called the Holland Hotel, and then a train station, Station House was seamlessly transformed into 5 floors of tech, food, co-work and pop-up space.
“We are excited to be extending our brand into the Sundial project alongside the Edwards group and the partners behind the Armature Works brand,” said Steve Gianfilippo Founder of Gianco Companies, Station House, and Hyde House. “With all the exciting Food and Beverage changes planned onsite, the re-opening of the Pier district, and proximity to Beach Drive, we feel this annex location of Station House will offer our membership base and non-members another convenient location to work, play, and celebrate.”
The project will be completed in 2020. All of the Sundial tenants will remain open throughout construction. More details about the project will be released in the near future.
