Freshen up your wardrobe with Shoreline Sugars, St. Pete’s latest women's boutique

Start making some space in your closet—Shoreline Sugars Boutique is coming to St. Pete.

Lisa and Mary Clark, owners of SHoreline Sugars Boutique opening soon at 649 Central Avenue

For Lisa and Mary Clark, this isn't just another women's clothing store. This mother-daughter duo aims to spread laughter, fun, and good vibes all along Central Avenue.

"Our goal is that every person that walks into our store leaves feeling encouraged and a little more confident than when they came in," says Mary Clark.

From shades to sandals, Shoreline Sugars has got your wardrobe covered. The shop features a wide range of styles, from bohemian bell sleeve dresses to old-school boyfriend jeans. Winter wear more to your taste? Sugars has plenty of sweater weather options, like long sleeve blouses or knitted pullovers. “Anyone could walk into our store with $30 and leave with an item or two!” says Clark.

Instead of heading to Etsy or Amazon for your face masks, why not pick one up on your commute? Shoreline Sugars is partnering with Sara Comer, owner of Tupy Shop, to bring the latest tie-dye trends to you. From psychedelic face coverings to plush crew necks, you won’t find these items anywhere else; Comer is hand-designing styles specifically for Shoreline Sugars.

It’s no secret that downtown socialites rock the latest summer trends nearly all year long (thanks to the beachy heat and humidity). And with Shoreline Sugars joining the boutique lineup, St. Pete residents will have even more leisure-wear to choose from. "St. Pete has such a "small business" mentality," Clark says. "Everyone shops, eats, and drinks local. When the opportunity came for us to join that community, we were eager to take it.”

What started as an online store in 2016 became a fashion-favorite across the Bay in Apollo Beach. Soon after, Mary’s sister, Rachel, joined the business, and the family set their sights on 649 Central Ave. Joe Esposito of KW Commercial represented the landlord and Michael Kimbrough also of KW Commercial represented the tenant in the deal.

Just down the street from the iconic Beach Drive sunsets, Sugars seems like a great fit for the city scene. “We’ve built our business on the genuine friendships that we have with our customers,” says Clark. “We want to be a place that people can shop at and feel encouraged while they do so.”

Trendy and charming—that’s Shoreline Sugars!

True to St. Pete’s breathtaking art, the store will feature a welcoming coral, mint, and lavender color scheme. While browsing the racks, keep an eye out for Winston, Shoreline Sugars’ resident welcome-puppy.

If you’re ready to start shopping, mark your calendars for Shoreline’s grand opening at 649 Central Avenue this Saturday the 29th, starting at 11 AM. Sip on some champagne and enjoy raffles and giveaways—all while social distancing.

Can’t make it on the opening day? Sugars will be open from 11-6 PM Tuesday to Saturday, and 12-5 PM Sunday. Keep a pulse on the latest fashion trends on their Facebook and Instagram.
