Mezzo Market returns Saturday to Baum Avenue in St. Pete’s EDGE District

Long-awaited cooler weather heralds the return of what’s become a beloved EDGE District seasonal tradition: Mezzo Market.  

The monthly outdoor market and festival will resume at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th, at its traditional location on Baum Avenue between Intermezzo Coffee and Green Bench Brewing (1133 Baum Avenue, to be exact) in St. Petersburg.

Admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine.

The 125-plus vendor sites are sold out for all remaining market dates but a waitlist is available in event any vendors drop out. 

“I am always impressed at the entrepreneurial spirit of St. Pete,” said Jarrett Sabatini, Organizer of Mezzo Market and Owner of Intermezzo. “St. Pete is so unique in this respect and I’m thankful we can bring together 125+ unique makers and creators every month to celebrate and support their businesses.”

Mezzo Market attendees will find a huge range of locally made goods at the event — everything from art and jewelry to plants, boutique and vintage clothing, flowers, food, beverages, and all sorts of handicrafts. Dogs are welcome but owners should bring their own water and are expected to clean up after their pup.

To celebrate Octoberfest and the return of Mezzo Market, Green Bench Brewing will be serving several seasonal beers, including Festbier, Schwarzbier, a German-style Helles, a Smoke Helles, and a German-style Hefeweizen.

And the market’s namesake, Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails, located at 1111 Central Avenue (for now), will be open and serving coffee, juice, tea, beer, wine, and cocktails.

To top off the experience, Mezzo Market shoppers will be able to browse to their hearts’ content while enjoying live music by local performers.  

Mezzo Market has no dedicated parking area, but Tropicana Field offers plenty of parking that can be paid for via the ParkMobile app. There are several other ParkMobile zones nearby: 1220 1st Avenue North (behind Hawker’s), 1405 Central Avenue (across from Ferg’s), 284 16th Street North, and 1541 2nd Avenue North.  

Mezzo Market is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you can’t make it to the October 14th event, Mezzo Market’s other autumn 2023 dates are October 28th, November 18th, and December 16th.
