Long-awaited Topgolf facility is now open in St. Petersburg

The wait is finally over for Topgolf fans as the highly anticipated sports and entertainment venue is now open at 220 Carillon Parkway North in St. Petersburg’s Carillon office park.
The Topgolf facility has opened on a 12-acre parcel owned by RealtyLink, LLC, a full-service real estate development company that has developed several Topgolf facilities.
The project was first announced in 2019 and was originally expected to open in 2020 but faced numerous delays, including a legal challenge from a group of residents who live near the site.
The lawsuit was dismissed in 2021 and construction began the following year.

For those who are unfamiliar with the concept, Topgolf offers a modern take on the sport of golf. Instead of walking or driving a course, players take turns hitting microchipped golf balls at targets from bays. The balls’ flight paths are tracked, and players earn points depending on how close to the targets their shots land.
Customers can also play virtual courses or compete in video game-style competitions based on popular games such as Angry Birds. No prior golf experience is required, and clubs are provided, although experienced golfers who want to hone their skills can bring their own clubs.
Topgolf offers a full food and beverage menu, and servers will come to your bay to take your order, allowing you and your group to play without interruption.

Topgolf St. Petersburg features 102 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays, a full-service restaurant, a rooftop terrace with fire pits, and more.
For those who don’t want to play golf, the venue offers private event rooms and an outdoor area with backyard games, ideal for office parties, family gatherings, or any other social or celebratory occasion.
For more serious golfers, Topgolf’s Toptracer technology can trace each golf ball's flight path, distance, and other metrics, and the Topgolf Coach program offers lessons taught by the venue’s director of instruction.

If you’re wondering how much Topgolf costs, the hourly rates vary depending to time of day and day of the week. Each bay can accommodate up to six people.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, it costs $32/hour until noon, $42/hour from noon to 5 p.m., and $54/hour after 5 p.m.
On Fridays, the rate increases to $39/hour before noon, $50/hour from noon to 5 p.m., and $62/hour after 5 p.m.
On Saturdays and Sundays, the rate is $39/hour before noon, $50/hour from noon to 3 p.m., and $62/hour after 3 p.m.
Tuesdays feature special half-off pricing, so the rate is $16/hour before noon, $21/hour from noon to 5 p.m., and $27/hour after 5 p.m.
