The Sunshine City, home to the largest Pride celebration in Florida, will once again celebrate its vibrant LGBTQIA+ community during the 23rd annual St. Pete Pride.

The month-long celebration culminates with the signature Pride Parade along the downtown waterfront, drawing more than 300,000 attendees. This year’s parade day festivities kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th at North and South Straub Parks, featuring live music, local entertainers and artists, over 100 booths and vendors, and a wide variety of food and drink.

The Pride Parade will begin at 6 p.m., starting at Albert Whitted Park and continuing along Bayshore Drive to Vinoy Park. The Trans March will precede the main parade at 5 p.m.

On the day of the parade, free parking will be available from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at St. Petersburg High School at 2501 5th Avenue North (served by PSTA bus route 9), as well as at Tropicana Field lots 6 and 7. Free shuttles will run from these locations to the parade route.

The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will offer free rides to St. Pete Pride. The SunRunner, Central Avenue Trolley, and Route 9 will all be fare-free.

Paid parking will be available at the SouthCore and Sundial parking garages.

Festivities continue on Sunday, June 29th, with a Street Fair in the Grand Central District from 12 to 5 p.m. Spanning 11 blocks along Central Avenue—from 20th Street to 31st Street—the fair will feature over 200 local vendors, live entertainment, and roaming performers. Central Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event.

"The Grand Central District has been the birthplace of St. Pete Pride since 2003 when it hosted the first Pride parade along Central Avenue," said Dani Sheffey, Grand Central District Coordinator, in a conversation with St. Pete Rising.

Over the years, the Grand Central District has become known as a vibrant LGBTQ+ neighborhood, home to a wide range of queer-owned businesses and nightlife spots such as COCKtail, The Wet Spot, The Salty Nun, and more.

"We are very proud of how this event reflects our community’s spirit of inclusivity," Sheffey added, noting that planning for the event began in January in partnership with the nonprofit St. Pete Pride organization.

In addition to street vendors and performances, local businesses will host their own Pride celebrations during the Street Fair on June 29th. COCKtail will feature an outdoor stage with live performers, while The Dog Bar will offer Pride-themed events throughout the month.

Beyond the main parade and street fair, St. Pete Pride hosts several events throughout June:
