CorePower Yoga, touted as the largest yoga studio brand in the U.S., is opening its first Tampa Bay location in St. Pete.
The company, which offers a range of yoga classes and instructor certification classes, has signed a lease at 965 Central Avenue in the EDGE District.
CorePower Yoga is expected to open its new studio in 2027.
The building, originally constructed in 1926, is currently vacant and was previously occupied by Flagship Bank, which relocated to 3303 4th Street North in 2025 after four years on Central Avenue.
The 4,200-square-foot building is part of a cluster of properties recently sold to Dallas-based investment firm 90Ten.
CorePower Yoga was founded by avid outdoorsman Trevor Tice, who turned to yoga for rehabilitation after suffering a serious rock-climbing injury in Colorado. Inspired by his recovery journey, he opened the first CorePower Yoga studio in Denver in 2002.

The brand has quickly grown with private funding and a franchise model, and currently operates more than 220 studios across 23 states.
The only CorePower Yoga in Florida can be found in Miami, with two more studios opening in South Florida in the coming year.
CorePower Yoga puts a twist on the traditional yoga studio model by offering a physically intense style of power vinyasa yoga that blends fitness, strength training, and traditional yoga poses.
Classes range from beginner-level flows to hot yoga, restorative and mobility-focused sessions, yoga sculpt classes with weights, functional strength training, and cardio-focused formats.
The company offers a tiered membership model along with drop-in options. Participants can purchase single classes, class packs, or sign up for unlimited all-access memberships.

Drop-in classes typically cost around $29 to $40, depending on the market, while unlimited monthly memberships in major cities like New York can exceed $200 per month.
The company also offers an at-home membership with both on-demand and live virtual classes. While it expanded its digital offerings in 2020, online classes first launched through CorePower Yoga On Demand in 2018.
In addition, the studio offers teacher training and certification programs, including 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Alliance-recognized courses, along with specialty trainings such as Yoga Sculpt.
Beyond classes, the brand sells yoga-related merchandise through its online shop, including apparel, mats, towels, and accessories.
