Velvet chairs, a moody dark color palette, and shelves lined with tarot decks and ritual candles greet customers stepping into a new metaphysical shop that recently opened in Gulfport.
Arcana brings a bit of whimsy to its corner storefront, serving as an inclusive venue and collective where Reiki practitioners, tarot readers, and others offer spiritual healing and guidance.
The shop, located at 1303 49th Street South, celebrated its grand opening on June 14th.
Arcana is owned by practicing psychic Lindsay Caskey and her husband, Brandon, better known as "Caskey," an indie hip-hop rapper from Winter Park.
Together, the pair has built an audience of more than half a million followers across social media, many of whom have followed the shop's renovation and opening journey online.

“I believe tarot cards should be on every coffee table,” said Lindsay. “It’s a fantastic tool to learn more about yourself, and eventually you can begin reading for other people too.”
“Since I was a teenager, I’ve been doing readings in metaphysical shops across Tampa Bay. I was always the reader, never the shop owner — until now,” she continued.
The same mentor who taught Lindsay the art of reading and channeling recently foresaw the couple taking over a former art studio after Lindsay returned from a spiritual retreat in Costa Rica.
“We knew we wanted to be in St. Pete,” said Lindsay. “The space wasn't even listed online yet. We saw a banner outside and decided to reach out.”
Since receiving the keys in April, the couple have spent countless hours renovating the space.
Caskey and his brother painted a large exterior mural depicting a vibrant tiger against a colorful backdrop.

Lindsay painted the interior and furnished it with thrifted and secondhand items.
The shelves and nooks showcase inventory from local and regional artisans, including handmade candles from WildWood Alchemy, organic skincare products from Divinely Bloomed, items from ASTRA Aromatherapy, and soaps from Luna & Co. Soapery.
A few products, including candles, are also made and sold in-house by the Caskeys.
While the front of the store carries apothecary items, crystals, stones, and loose-leaf teas, the back includes a private room for readings and a secluded area for Reiki, which is a spiritual healing practice that practitioners believe improves the flow of energy through the body.
Arcana is also home to multiple independent readers, psychics, a resident astrologer, and a Reiki practitioner, all who manage their own pricing and schedules.

A medium and an aura photographer are also expected to join the collective.
In the future, Arcana plans to host special events and psychic workshops.
“This shop represents a 10-year dream of mine to have a space that is inclusive to everyone and brings the community together,” Lindsay said. “We want it to feel like you are getting a warm, welcoming hug.”
Arcana is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, though readings and other services are best booked in advance.
