Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise Scooter's Coffee will open a new St. Pete shop this summer.

Scooter’s Coffee, a franchise known for serving artisan espresso drinks through its 664-square-foot store kiosk model, is building a new drive-thru shop at 9299 4th Street North in the Riviera Bay neighborhood.

This will be the third shop in Pinellas County for the growing franchise with existing drive-thrus at 980 Pasadena Avenue South and 4672 Park Boulevard in Pinellas Park.

The new Scooter's Coffee storefront will be surrounded by national retailers, including Publix Supermarket, Panda Express, and Chipotle.

Scooter's Coffee is expected to open by this August. With a 20-year lease in place, the property owner has put the parcel up for sale. The asking price is approximately $2.36 million.

The original Scooter's Coffee was founded in Nebraska in 1998 and uses 100% Arabica coffee beans roasted by its affiliated company, Harvest Roasting.

Its espresso-based drink flavors range from Turtle, White Mocha, and Coconut to its signature drink, Caramelicious, which combines caramel sauce with espresso and milk poured over ice.

In addition to the decadent coffee drinks, Scooter's Coffee serves Quenchers, which have a base of fruit flavors and natural energy-giving green coffee extract. This season’s Quencher flavors include Pineapple Mint and Strawberry Lime.

The brand also carries Blenders (a blended coffee drink), cold brews, energy-infused drinks, lemonades, smoothies, and teas.

The prices for the 12-ounce brewed coffees start at $2.95. Customers can add flavors and substitute dairy with oat, coconut, or almond milk.

Scooter's Coffee recently added XL drink sizes to hold 32 ounces for iced drinks and 24 ounces for hot drinks.

Customers can also grab savory snacks like the Maple Waffle Sandwich, Everything Bagel Sandwich, Bacon or Spicy Sausage Burrito, and Bacon and Gouda or Tomato and Feta Omelet Bites.

Today, Scooter’s Coffee has over 800 stores operating across the U.S.
