Seven-story boutique condo building The Cade launches sales on Mirror Lake in downtown St. Pete

The Cade, a 15-unit luxury condominium building planned for Mirror Lake in downtown St. Pete, has launched sales | Backstreets Capital

A new boutique condo building along Mirror Lake in downtown St. Pete has officially hit the market.

St. Pete-based Backstreets Capital has launched sales for The Cade, a seven-story mid-rise building coming soon to 749 Burlington Avenue North featuring just 15 luxury residences overlooking the historic lake.

Contracts are now being accepted, and a sales gallery has opened at 600 1st Avenue North.

“The Cade was designed to feel like home the moment you arrive,” said Will Conroy, President of Backstreets Capital. “With only 15 residences, everything from the scale of the homes to the way the building functions was considered to create a highly personal living experience.”

“This is a place for people who want the privacy, space, and character of a custom home, paired with an irreplaceable lakefront location in downtown St. Petersburg,” Conroy added.

All primary living spaces face east toward the lake and downtown skyline, with upper floors offering views of Tampa Bay.

Each residence includes a private balcony, an air-conditioned storage room within or adjacent to the unit, and a second dedicated storage space located in front of an assigned parking space inside the first-floor parking garage.

Each reserved parking space also has EV charging capability and select spaces are prepped for optional car lifts.

Levels two through five will contain three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom residences ranging from 2,169 to 2,302 square feet, while the top two floors will have two penthouses offering four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms across 3,420 square feet.

Buyers will be able to personalize cabinetry, countertops, and flooring from a curated set of developer-provided options.

Standard residences will feature Thermador appliance suites with 42-inch French door refrigerators, while the penthouses will include Sub-Zero 48-inch French door refrigerators and Wolf appliances.

All kitchens will include natural gas cooktops, paneled refrigerators and dishwashers, two full-height pantries, and large islands wrapped in matching cabinetry.

Primary bathrooms are designed with European-style cabinetry, freestanding soaking tubs, tiled showers with frameless enclosures, built-in benches, and private water closets.

The Cade’s residential amenities are intentionally designed to support a private, residential lifestyle rather than a resort-style experience found in larger condo towers.

The second-floor amenity deck will include a covered patio, a plunge pool, and a gas fireplace surrounded by lounge seating.

A fitness center overlooking the amenity deck will offer cardio and strength equipment along with a dedicated yoga area.

The resident lounge will feature a catering kitchen, coffee and beverage bar, work areas, an entertainment space, and a reading nook.

The project’s design is inspired by the historic 89-year-old Cade Allen House, which sits directly east of The Cade. The home is currently being restored by Backstreets Capital and is listed for $3.5 million.

Original stone salvaged from the home will be incorporated into The Cade’s front entryway.

The house was built by prominent developer and architect Cade Allen, who constructed more than 40 stone homes throughout the city.

The Cade is being developed by Backstreets Capital, the family office of the Conroy and Sher families, whose local portfolio includes The Salvador and The Nolen condominiums in downtown St. Pete.

St. Pete-based PLACE Architecture is serving as design lead and interior design is being led by Stephanie Smart of s.p.a.c.e.

Homes are priced starting at $1,790,000, with sales represented by The Wittner Wollman Group.

The Cade’s sales gallery is open by private appointment at 600 First Avenue North.

More information and appointment requests are available on the project’s website.
