The Yard Milkshake Bar is coming to downtown St. Pete
/A popular milkshake bar known for their indulgent, over-the-top ice cream creations will be opening in downtown St. Pete next year.
The Yard Milkshake Bar will debut at 111 2nd Ave NE Suite 103 in the Plaza Tower & Courtyard Shops neighboring the popular Paradeco Coffee Roasters.
The Yard has a massive menu of desserts, offering everything from milkshakes, ice cream bowls, and edible cookie dough. There are over 20 different milkshakes available, including a few seasonal selections.
The Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss includes rich brownie batter ice cream in a peanut butter dipped jar rolled in dark chocolate shavings and then topped with whipped cream, chocolate, and peanut butter drizzle and a brownie on top.
Order a Cookies N’ Worms and receive a marshmallow-dipped jar rolled in crushed Oreos filled with cookies n’ cream ice cream with chocolate drizzle topped with gummy worms, whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and a cookies n’ cream cookie dough pop.
For this fall, The Yard rolled out three limited-time shakes — Pumpkin Spiced Latte, Pumpkin Oreo Cheesecake, and Buckeye Brownie.
There are currently 19 locations including one in Carrollwood which opened last month. Each store has a secret menu of shakes only sold at that location. In Carrollwood, The Yard’s secret menu includes two shakes — Chompa Bay Crunch and The Buccaneer.
Customers can also opt for a simple scoop of ice cream, but what’s the fun in that! Over 30 ice cream flavors include cinnamon bun, cappuccino crunch, turtle sundae, and strawberry cheesecake.
Of course, the Yard has tons of toppings too. You’ll find standard toppings like Butterfinger pieces, sprinkles, and chocolate chips along with over-the-top options like entire brownies, cupcakes, and glazed doughnuts.
There’s something for everybody at The Yard Milkshake Bar. They even carry gluten free and vegan friendly options.
The Yard Milkshake Bar was launched in 2017 in Gulf Shores, Alabama by Logan and Chelsea Green. Green wanted to create a product that would attract people from far and wide and she realized the more extravagant you go, the more people will show up.
The business was catapulted to national fame in 2019 when the Greens appeared on Shark Tank. American billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban ended up investing in the company.
The Yard Milkshake Bar will open in the first quarter of 2022 at 111 2nd Ave NE Suite 103 in the Plaza Tower & Courtyard Shops in downtown St. Pete.
