Health and wellness businesses lease space at Camden Central in downtown St. Pete
/Two new businesses that offer health and wellness services are opening on the ground-floor retail level of Camden Central Apartments at 855 Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg.
MiniLuxe has leased the space neighboring BurgerFi on Central Avenue.
MiniLuxe specializes in hand, nail, and body care, offering a wide assortment of services, from manicures and pedicures to nail polish, eyebrow shaping, and body hair removal. Customers can choose from getting work done in the studio or having a staff member come to their home.
A wide range of health and beauty products, including gift sets, are also available. According to the MiniLuxe website, the shop can also accommodate groups and has a special bridal event package available.
“As we evaluated different markets, the ‘sunshine state’ stood out to us as a clear winner for MiniLuxe’s omnichannel expansion,” said Zoe Krislock, CEO of MiniLuxe. “Florida has one of the highest nail designer talent concentrations in the country, as well as long-standing proven demand for habitual nail care.”
Founded in 2007 in Boston, MiniLuxe says it has served more than 340,000 customers at its 20 company-owned studio locations, and that 96% of its workforce is made up of women and individuals who identify as Black, indigenous and people of color (BIPOC). It uses cruelty-free, made-in-America products that are also free of the eight most-toxic ingredients commonly found in nailcare solutions.
MiniLuxe will also open a location at Water Street, a $3 billion wellness-focused, waterfront community currently under construction in Tampa.
Body Details, meanwhile, has also signed a lease at Camden Central and will be flanked by MiniLuxe and Top Buttons, an upscale pre-owned women’s boutique that St. Pete Rising exclusively announced in July.
Body Details specializes in skincare services, including laser hair, scar and tattoo removal, skin rejuvenation, and liposuction. It offers free consultations for new clients.
The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Boca Raton. Most of its clinics are in Southeast Florida but in the Tampa Bay region it also has locations in Brandon, Largo, Tampa, and Wesley Chapel.
Every Body Details laser center, according to the company’s website, is led by a board-certified physician who is certified in dermatology or plastic surgery, and some of its treatments are backed by lifetime guarantees at no extra charge.
“We calibrate our lasers based on your skin type and sensitivity, the area of the body you are treating, as well as your hair type, scar type, or the type of ink in your tattoo,” the company states on its website. Body Details lasers are also set up to “only target the cells you are treating and do not cause damage to the surrounding skin. Not all laser treatment providers can say this.”
