Fresh off announcing a new Grand Central District location, Karma Juice Bar and Eatery is planning yet another café—this time in north St. Pete.

Owner Josie Barber tells St. Pete Rising that plans are underway for Karma’s newest outpost, a 2,485-square-foot space at 201 Main Street North on the ground floor of the 17-story Park & Main apartment building within Echelon City Center at Carillon.

“I’ve never really taken on a project this big before; it’s quite a large space and we’re completely building it out,” Barber says. “It’s going to be a good place for us because the demographic of people that live there is very similar to our customer base.”

Barber plans to open Park and Main’s Karma later this year.

Karma has two existing locations, including one on 4th Street North in St. Pete and another in Clearwater.

Both cafes offer a light menu of sandwiches, salads, acai bowls and baked goods, alongside its famed cold-pressed juices and smoothies.

Park & Main’s Karma will operate as a daytime cafe like its other locations, but Barber also plans to introduce evening service too.

During Karma’s “healthy happy hour,” guests can expect mocktails made with freshly-squeezed juices, in addition to a light dinner menu of globally-inspired bites.

She says the outdoor patio will offer 150 seats while the indoor dining area will seat 86 patrons.

Barber is also tapping into her interior design background to furnish and decorate this new Karma location.

“I have designers in the Philippines creating custom furniture for the new space. Being able to bring that part of my life to Karma feels like a full-circle moment for me,” Barber adds.

Karma is one of the first food and beverage concepts announced for Park & Main, which opened in 2024. The Blu Halo, a Tallahassee-based American restaurant and cocktail bar, debuted at Park & Main last summer.

Also slated to open later this year is Karma Kitchen & Bakery, a new concept from Barber and business partners Bob Roberts and Ashley Stover. The restaurant will open at 2955 Central Avenue in the Grand Central District, taking over the former home of Craftsman House Gallery.

Ahead of Karma’s opening at Park & Main, Barber says a Karma food truck will be parked at the community starting in February, to help familiarize the neighborhood with the locally-owned brand.
