Sports fanatics have a new destination in downtown St. Pete!

Who’s on First, the new elevated sports bar named after the iconic Abbott and Costello baseball comedy routine, quietly opened its doors at 119 1st Avenue North last week.

The space was formerly home to Thirsty First, which is relocating to 515 Central Avenue.

Who's on First is the latest concept from the Drink St. Pete hospitality group, which is opening two other bars and restaurants - Irish party bar Dublin Drop and local watering hole There Goes The Neighborhood - that will be connected to Who's on First, allowing patrons to hop to all three bars via connected doorways.

The ownership group is also behind a handful of other popular downtown bars, such as One Night Stand, Tequila Daisy, Whiskey Exchange, and Pour Judgement.

Who's on First features 21 TVs that play all Rays, Bucs, and Lightning games in addition to most televised football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and soccer games.

The bar has the standard draft beers, drink buckets and pitchers, wine by the glass and bottle, and top-shelf liquor.

It also offers signature drinks like Run it Up the Mule made with Ketel One, muddled limes, oranges, and ginger beer, and the Short Hand Slipper, a fruity rum concoction with lime, pineapple, and orange juice.

Since taking over the space in early July, the team has been tweaking recipes in its all-scratch kitchen for its brunch, lunch, and dinner menu.

There are many appetizers and small plates customers can order such as a grilled peach, blueberry, and mascarpone flatbread topped with pickled red onion and drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Other shareable items include lobster mac and cheese balls, shrimp and grits, and fried popcorn chicken which are rolled and fried in butter and popcorn and served with cilantro cream sauce.

For dinner, start off with an order of Cuban egg rolls stuffed with ham, salami, Swiss cheese, pulled pork, and pickles served with a side of Cuban mayo, as well as traditional burgers and jumbo wings tossed in buffalo, BBQ, Korean BBQ, black pepper honey, garlic butter, and garlic parmesan sauces.

Cap off the night with a creamy tres leches cake, a strawberry "shortcake" biscuit, or chocolate truffles with orange, brandy, and chili pepper flavorings.

Brunch offerings, which will be available on the weekends from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., include items like hot honey chicken and waffles served with blueberry jalapeño jam and honey ginger butter and a biscuit slider flight featuring a trio of biscuits with one stacked with pulled pork and Swiss Mornay sauce, a second biscuit with crispy pork belly with blood orange blanc, and a third biscuit topped with a fried green tomato and lobster confit.
