St. Pete residents will soon be able to pick up orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and stir fry at P.F. Chang's new to-go concept.

The new concept, Pagoda Asian Grill, will open at 1550 66th Street North in the Shoppes at the Royale Plaza, according to a recently filed permit. In 2022, it was revealed that P.F. Changs was planning to open another quick service restaurant owned by the Asian food chain, P.F. Changs To Go, at this location.

Barbecue restaurant Rib City previously occupied the 3,000-square-foot space, but closed in 2019 after 40 years of operation.

P.F. Chang's has not announced an opening date for the St. Pete location, which will be the only P.F. Chang’s of any kind in the city.

P.F. Chang's has existing full-service restaurants in Tampa and Clearwater.

Pagoda Asian Grill by P.F. Chang's, which debuted in New York in late 2023, will offer create-your-own bowls.

Customers can select a bowl base of rice, lo mein, or vegetables and top it with P.F. Chang's fan favorites such as General Tso's chicken, honey chicken, kung pao chicken, and beef & broccoli.

The bowls, which start at $11, are drizzled with dynamite, teriyaki, or sweet honey sauce.

The new restaurant will also serve strawberry rose and wild blackberry-flavored lemonades.

P.F. Chang's plans to open future Pagoda Asian Grill restaurants in Orlando and McKinney, Texas, according to the company's career listings page.

The team is seeking a general manager for the future St. Pete location.

The sole Pagoda Asian Grill in New York operates from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
