The Blend Coffee & Cocktails to open café on Central Avenue in Central Oak Park

The Blend Coffee & Cocktails is planning a new location at 3501 Central Avenue in the Central Oak Park neighborhood of St. Petersburg, expanding its unique concept of combining specialty coffee and creative cocktails. The new café will open in a building that was previously a laundromat.

The Central Oak Park café will be The Blend’s eighth location.

The Blend was founded by Stacha Madsen and her daughter, Nichole Richardson. Madsen began her coffee career in Seattle, Washington, where she ran multiple coffee shops, also named The Blend, in one of the nation’s coffee hubs.

Drawn to St. Pete by its sunshine and beaches, Madsen has since been dedicated to expanding her coffee empire. Since opening its first café in 2020, The Blend has quickly become one of the fastest growing coffee companies in Tampa Bay.

Jessica Dwyer of Dalton Wade Real Estate Group represented Madsen. Dwyer has worked with Madsen on securing additional storefronts.

Earlier this month, The Blend opened its newest location at 3001 16th Street North in Magnolia Heights.

The café’s other St. Pete locations are situated at 1211 4th Street North in the Old Northeast, 2760 34th Street North in Disston Heights, and 6730 Central Avenue in west St. Pete.

The coffeehouse also has locations Tampa, Pinellas Park, and Palmetto.

The Blend’s menu features traditional drip coffee and cold brew, as well as a diverse selection of espresso-based drinks, including lattes, americanos, macchiatos, and mochas. Customers can also choose from over 25 flavored syrups.

Perhaps one of the most popular (and Instagrammable) options The Blend offers is its seasonal coffee flights, which feature four unique coffee combinations with toppings and syrups.

This season’s coffee flight includes Hawaiian Salted Caramel, White Pineapple, Coconut, and Key Lime Crumble.

In addition to coffee and espresso, The Blend serves beer, wine, and cocktails as well as a menu of smoothies, teas, and Italian sodas.

A small menu of food is also available featuring pastries and all-day breakfast sandwiches served on a bagel or croissant.

An opening date for The Blend’s new location in Central Oak Park has not been announced.
