The boutique Sai Ocean Front Residences will rise at 404 Gulf Boulevard, the site of the former 45-key Gulf Towers Motel across from The Original Crabby Bill’s seafood restaurant.  

Tampa philanthropist and real estate investor Dr. Kiran Patel, most notably known for selling WellCare for $200 million in 2002, is developing the project.

A Pinellas County employee, a single father of three, will soon have the keys to a new home - becoming the 900th owner to have a home built by Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties

The local Habitat for Humanity alliance, which is the second largest in the organization's national network, has helped over 1,000 families, serving as the homebuilder, loan originator, and mortgage servicer.

They plan to build 85 more affordable homes this year.

 Valhalla Bakery reopens in shared space with Valkyrie Doughnuts in the Grand Central District

Customers can continue indulging in Valhalla Bakery's Pistachio Rose Bar and sweet lattes just four doors down from their original St. Pete Grand Central District location.

The vegan bakery, named after the Viking Heaven, has relocated its operations at 2462 Central Avenue into the neighboring Valkyrie Doughnuts space at 2444 Central Avenue.

Valhalla Bakery owner Celine Beltgens, who also owns Valkyrie Doughnuts, explained it wasn't financially feasible to continue operations in separate locations due to the spiking costs of ingredients and fluctuations in today's economy, making it a struggle for small businesses to survive on lower profits.
