Outcast Brewing to debut this summer in former Brutalist space in St. Pete

A brewhouse with a Prosecco bar, a beer garden, and a live music stage is coming to the former home of The Brutalist Temple of Beer in St. Petersburg. 

Residents Richie and Jill Hamm recently purchased the 10,747-square-foot industrial property at 1776 11th Avenue North in a $2.3 million deal.

The two-story building, located between the Historic Uptown and the North Kenwood neighborhoods, was formerly home to Flying Boat Brewing Company and The Brutalist Temple of Beer, which was owned and operated by Tampa’s King State Coffee Roasters.

$500 million TradeWinds Resort expansion moves forward on St. Pete Beach

TradeWinds Island Resort is one step closer to starting work on a $500 million transformation of its 25-acre St. Pete Beach property.

After a nearly six-hour-long St. Pete Beach Planning Committee, the members unanimously approved a development agreement and conditional use permit (CUP) for the redevelopment of the beachfront resort at 5500 Gulf Boulevard that will bring three new hotels and amenities to the property.

TradeWinds, which operates the Island Grand and RumFish Beach Resorts, currently has 967 hotel keys, and 102,373 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

400 Central reaches the halfway mark in downtown St. Pete

Hundreds of contractors from Suffolk Construction are pouring concrete floor by floor for 400 Central, a 46-story luxury condominium tower under construction in downtown St. Pete. The tower, which adds a floor every six days, is now more than halfway complete at 250 feet high.

New York billionaire John Catsimatidis Sr., founder of Red Apple Real Estate, and select media members, climbed inside a freight elevator and were hoisted up to the newly completed floors to catch a glimpse of the expansive views from what will soon be the tallest residential tower on Florida’s west coast.

The terraces of the future condos on the 25th floor boast panoramic views of the downtown core and Mirror Lake to the edge of the waterfront and sights of the foggy Sunshine Skyway Bridge in the distance.

Sprouts Farmers Market, Badcock Furniture to open in Largo shopping plaza

Organic grocer Sprouts Farmers Market is growing its footprint in Pinellas County and will open a new store in Largo's Keene Plaza Shopping Center.

St. Petersburg-based commercial real estate firm Paradise Ventures, which is redeveloping the Sundial shopping complex in downtown St. Pete, is demolishing 35,500 square feet of retail space at the northeast end of the retail plaza to make way for two new tenants - Sprouts Farmers Market and Badcock Home Furniture & More, which will relocate its showroom on Missouri Avenue to the new space.

The 85,299-square-foot plaza, at the northwest corner of Keene Road and East Bay Drive, was previously anchored by a Save A Lot and Bealls Outlet.
