Bojangles opens next week at 7930 U.S. Highway 19 North in Pinellas Park | St Pete Rising

Bojangles, the beloved Southern chain known for its fried chicken, biscuits, and sweet tea, will officially open its new Pinellas Park restaurant next Tuesday, November 4, at 5:30 a.m.

The opening marks the brand’s return to the area, where it last operated four decades ago.

Located at 7930 U.S. Highway 19 North, the new 2,414-square-foot Bojangles replaces a former Burger King on an outparcel of a retail plaza anchored by Ashley Furniture, across from Walmart Supercenter.

The site features a single-lane drive-thru.

“The City of Pinellas Park takes great pride in being the kind of place where businesses choose to grow and invest,” City Manager Bart Diebold said in an announcement. “To have Bojangles—a true Southern institution—select Pinellas Park for its first area location is both an honor and a major win for our community.”

Founded in 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bojangles has grown to more than 800 restaurants across 17 states. The Pinellas Park opening is part of Bojangles’ nationwide growth plan, which calls for nearly 50 new restaurants to open in 2025, including five locations across Florida.

The nearest Bojangles is currently in Davenport, about 90 minutes from Pinellas County. A second Tampa Bay location is planned for 18626 State Road 54 in Lutz, slated to open by late 2025.

“We are ecstatic about introducing Bojangles to the Tampa area and can’t wait to bring our unique Southern charm to Pinellas Park," Bojangles CEO Jose Armario said in a statement.

“Our recent expansions into markets have been met with tremendous enthusiasm, and we are confident that the community in Pinellas Park will embrace our delicious offerings with the same excitement,” Armanio added.

Bojangles has built a loyal following for its Cajun-seasoned fried chicken and freshly baked buttermilk biscuits, made from scratch throughout the day.

Breakfast favorites include biscuit sandwiches and Bo-Tato Rounds, crispy, seasoned potato medallions that are a fan favorite.

Hours of operation have not yet been announced, but Bojangles restaurants typically open daily around 5:30 a.m. and close around 10:00 p.m.
