A beloved Tierra Verde pizzeria is packing up its pies and heading to one of St. Pete’s fastest-growing neighborhoods this July.
Circo Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen is relocating from its current spot at 114 Pinellas Bayway South in Tierra Verde to 5035 34th Street South in the Skyway Marina District, replacing Portofino Italian Ristorante, which closed last year after more than 30 years in business.
The family-owned restaurant debuted four years ago in Tierra Verde and serves a main menu of appetizers, salads, soups, pizzas, pasta, entrees, and desserts.

The restaurant is especially known for its New York and Sicilian-style pizza, which are available in 14- or 18-inch sizes.
Specialty pizzas include the Hawaiian Pizza, made with mozzarella, imported ham, roasted pork, pineapple, and spicy honey BBQ sauce, and the Napoletana Pizza, made with roasted garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, Italian sausage, and broccoli rabe.
A 12-inch gluten-free pizza is also available.

A small selection of soups, such as Pasta e Fagioli, and salads, including house, Caesar, and caprese, are also available.
Twelve pasta dishes include Lasagna layered with Bolognese sauce, mozzarella, béchamel, Parmesan cheese, and ham; Angel Hair Carbonara made with pancetta, egg yolks, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, ricotta, and angel hair; and Ravioli Masala, filled with short rib and topped with a truffle mushroom sauce.

Circo features nine entrées, including Pollo and Veal available in Marsala, Piccata, or Parmigiana styles and Baccalà Livornese, or a pan seared cod with capers, olives, tomato sauce, basil, and white wine.
A daily breakfast menu with options like breakfast sandwiches, frittatas, eggs, and pastries is available in the mornings.
Desserts include traditional Italian treats such as cannoli, tiramisu, and gelato.
The new location is expected to open in July.
