A new restaurant is coming to one of downtown St. Pete’s most active nightlife blocks.
DalMoros, which serves fresh pasta made to order, will open in a 1,100-square-foot space at 204 1st Avenue North, on the corner of 2nd Street North and 1st Avenue North across from Olivia.
The space was previously home to Moon Mountain, which closed earlier this year after about two years in business.
DalMoros first opened in May 2021 at 653 Central Avenue and has since outgrown the space.
The plan was originally to relocate just a few doors down to 683 Central Avenue, but after months of delays, ownership decided to pivot to the Jannus Block instead.
DalMoros is now hoping to reopen at the new location on May 1st.
The concept revolves around fresh pasta, made to order and packaged for takeout.
DalMoros offers a variety of pasta shapes, sauces, and add-ons | DalMoros
Customers start by choosing a pasta shape like fusilli, rigatoni, fettuccine, or bigoli, then pair it with a selection of house-made sauces.
There are ten sauces to choose from, such as Bolognese, cacio e pepe, pesto, amatriciana, which is a tomato-based sauce made with smoked pancetta, onions, and black pepper.
From there, diners can add on meatballs, chicken, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, and a variety of cheeses.
Pasta dishes are priced between $9 and $13, with add-ons available for an additional $1 to $3 each.
The menu also features a lineup of panini sandwiches like Italian Polpette, Chicken Pesto, Caprese, and Mortadella.
Desserts include tiramisu and lemon sorbetto.
When DalMoro’s reopens on May 1st, it won’t be the only fresh pasta concept in downtown St. Pete.
A similar fresh pasta-to-go concept, Fusillo, recently opened in the EDGE District.
