Traditional Mexican restaurant Guac n' Cheese will open its first St. Pete location in downtown St. Pete this October.

Guac n’ Cheese Mexican Grill will replace restaurant and bar King State, which abruptly closed in April after only three months of business, on the ground floor of the COhatch coworking building at 15 8th Street North.

The restaurant, which operates at 4101 MacDill Avenue South in Tampa, is known for its popular Queso Fundido appetizer, a bowl filled with oven-melted cheese topped with chorizo that is served with chips.
