An authentic Italian eatery with several locations in Pinellas County has opened a new restaurant on Central Avenue in St. Pete.

La Dolce Vita Trattoria, which also operates in Clearwater, Palm Harbor, and St. Pete Beach, has debuted at 2363 Central Avenue in the Grand Central District.

Last week, La Dolce Vita Trattoria took over the space previously occupied by Matteo Trattoria & Pizzeria, adjacent to the popular night club Cocktail and day club The Wet Spot.

At the new St. Pete location, guests can start their meals with one of the restaurant’s many salads or antipasto dishes, including beef carpaccio, sautéed mussels, burrata, roasted octopus, fried calamari, and bruschetta.

The restaurant also offers a range of pastas, including classic dishes such as lasagna, bolognese, cacio e pepe, carbonara, and pasta e fagioli, made with white beans, tomato sauce, white wine, cherry tomatoes, and pesto.

Beyond pasta, the menu includes larger entrées like beef tenderloin served with a variety of sides and sauces, chicken parmesan, roasted branzino, salmon piccata, marsala-style veal, and sautéed cod.

Classic Italian desserts including tiramisu, panna cotta, cannoli, and gelato.

Unlike La Dolce Vita Trattoria’s St. Pete Beach location, the newly opened St. Pete restaurant will offer wood-fired pizza.

La Dolce Vita Trattoria’s newest location on Central Avenue is now open from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
