The new Moxy Hotel by Marriott, St. Pete’s first lifestyle hotel that has been under construction in the EDGE District since 2022, is now ready to welcome guests.

Miami-based PTM Partners, the group behind the EDGE Collective development in downtown St. Pete, and joint venture partner DoveHill Capital Management have officially opened the 163-key hotel at 1234 Central Avenue.

“This is a one-of-a-kind lifestyle hotel that not only works within St. Pete’s local traditions and culture but also adds to the neighborhood,” said PTM Partners COO Nick Pantuliano.

“Moxy St. Pete reflects the energy of the EDGE District, particularly as St. Pete continues to grow into a true international destination.”

The hotel, which will be managed by the Wurzak Hotel Group, carries a mid-century modern design with laid-back Florida beach decor.

Designed by St. Pete-based architect Storyn Studio, the hotel includes an expansive lobby featuring a coffee shop and bar, a rooftop pool deck with poolside bar, a podcast studio, conference space, and a 24/7 fitness center.

“The Moxy's design mirrors the historic essence of St. Pete’s 1920 urban landscape, a reflection that is deeply significant to us as a local firm,” said Everald Colas, founding principal of Storyn Studio.

The lobby contains a full bar called Bar Moxy that opens up to Central Avenue. The drink menu features high-end cocktails, beer, and wine and the food menu contains flatbreads, salads, sushi rolls, and a seafood tower stacked with citrus shrimp, oysters, tuna poke, and lobster.

Rose’s Coffee Bar, also located in the lobby, serves espresso drinks and smoothies along with a small menu of food such as avocado and salmon toasts, croissants, and more.

The rooftop pool bar, Sip ‘n Dip, offers a drink menu with eight signature cocktails, six frozen cocktails, beer, and wine. The surprisingly large food menu offers sushi, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, and appetizers.

Also on the roof and slated to open this fall will be Sparrow, a 4,000-square-foot restaurant and bar with a 1960s retro vibe. Sparrow will feature Asian-inspired cuisine and craft cocktails.

Phase I contains the Moxy Hotel and the redevelopment of the adjacent 1246 Central Avenue building, which will feature 16,000 square feet of Class A office space and the recently announced Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine on the ground floor.

A courtyard between the Moxy Hotel and the neighboring building, providing outdoor seating for guests and diners.
