Dutch Bros, founded in Oregon in 1992, will open its first Pinellas County location in Largo | Dutch Bros

West Coast cult-favorite coffee chain Dutch Bros Coffee is planning to open its first Pinellas County location in Largo.

The new location will be built from the ground up at 2250 East Bay Drive, just west of Starkey Road.

The 967-square-foot building will include a double drive-thru and a walk-up window, designed for speed and convenience. There will be no indoor seating or customer access to the interior.

Founded in Oregon in 1992, Dutch Bros has grown to over 900 locations across the U.S.

The brand is known for its vibrant culture, friendly service, and extensive menu of customizable drinks.

Offerings include specialty coffee beverages, cold brews, teas, smoothies, energy drinks, and frosty blended drinks called "Freezes."

Signature items include the Annihilator (chocolate macadamia nut breve), the Golden Eagle (vanilla and caramel breve with caramel drizzle), and Rebel energy drinks in a variety of bold flavors.

Dutch Bros also offers a wide range of sugar-free and dairy-free options, catering to various dietary preferences. With its fun drink names, colorful branding, and enthusiastic baristas, the company has cultivated a cult-like following as it rapidly expands.

The Largo location is being developed by St. Pete-based Paradise Ventures, which purchased Keene Plaza in 2012 for $6.2 million.

The plaza has since been revitalized and is anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market, which opened in March.

This will be the second Dutch Bros location in the Tampa Bay area. The first opened in South Tampa in May to strong demand, with long lines and a steady stream of loyal fans. The company is also planning a location in Riverview.

An opening date for the Largo location has not yet been announced.
