The Factory sells 6.5-acre property in the Warehouse Arts District

One of the largest properties in St. Pete’s up-and-coming Warehouse Arts District has been sold.

Factory Investors of St Pete LLC, owned by St. Pete-based real estate investors Tom and Cory Gaffney, has acquired a 6.5-acre property located southwest of downtown St. Pete at 2606 Fairfield Avenue South.

The property is home to The Factory, a creative arts destination comprised of 90,000 square feet of warehouse space across nine buildings along the Pinellas Trail.

The Rays reveal renderings of new $1.3 billion stadium  in downtown St. Petersburg

The Tampa Bay Rays have unveiled new renderings for their proposed baseball stadium in downtown St. Petersburg, ahead of an upcoming City Council meeting.

The stadium plans will be discussed in a Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting on June 12th. The Tampa Bay Rays anticipate getting approvals in July and ultimately expect to begin construction in early 2025 with a planned opening in time for the 2028 baseball season.

Designed by architectural firm Populous, the stadium is set to be the most intimate in Major League Baseball (MLB) with a capacity of 30,000. This capacity includes between 27,000 and 29,000 fixed seats, with the remainder being standing room areas.

Move-ins begin at mixed-income Marlowe Gateway apartment community near Gandy in north St. Pete

Greystar Real Estate Partners is putting the finishing touches on an apartment community at the corner of Gandy Boulevard and 28th Street in north St. Pete.

Earlier this month, the first residents started moving into Marlowe Gateway located at 2790 Grand Avenue. The new apartment complex features 412 apartments – with its first units starting at $1,940 per month. The garden-style complex consists of nine apartment buildings offering a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts that range from 765 to 1,279 square feet. 

As part of a development agreement approved in October 2021, 20% of the units in the development will be income-restricted workforce housing for those making under 120% of the area median income (AMI).
