A vacant Boston Market in Largo is getting a flavorful new lease on life.
Dank Burrito, a fast-casual restaurant known for its 90s hip-hop aesthetic and menu of tacos, burritos, and bowls, is set to open in a 3,100-square-foot space at 4001 East Bay Drive, at the corner of East Bay and Belcher Road.
Expected to open later this year, Dank Burrito is making its Pinellas County debut with graffiti-wrapped walls, colorful signage, and a menu that pushes the boundaries of traditional burrito joints.
Guests can expect menu items such as a Jerk Chicken Burrito with pineapple-mango salsa and a Pork Belly Bowl topped with kimchi or banh mi-style vegetables, sweet Thai chili sauce, cilantro, and lime.

Proteins range from chili-marinated carne asada to fried mahi, shrimp, and chicken, each enhanced with house-made sauces like teriyaki, dill cocktail, and a honey truffle buffalo blend.
For dessert, Dank Burrito offers vanilla and Nutella creme brûlée, brownies, cookies, and Rice Krispy treats made in-house.
The brand currently operates eight other locations across the Southeast, including a recently opened spot in Ponte Vedra near Jacksonville.
Dank Burrito first hit the streets of North Carolina in 2014 as a food truck founded by friends Robert McGinnis and Chef Clarke Merrell.

Fueled by a shared love for global street food, the duo set out to “remix” international flavors into what they call “flavor bombs” — burritos, tacos, and bowls packed with scratch-made ingredients and unexpected twists.
“As a lover of global street food, Clarke wanted to remix some of his favorites and serve them as ‘flavor bombs’ — something burritos and tacos do best,” the Dank Burrito website explains.
“We prep our ingredients by hand every day, and we’ve got the callouses to prove it. From fermenting our kimchi to slow roasting our pork bellies, it’s all made from scratch.”
The Largo location is expected to open by the end of the year.
