Modern Mexican restaurant Green Lemon is coming to St. Pete

A South Tampa staple for tasty tacos and margaritas is making its way to St. Pete.

The beloved modern Mexican restaurant Green Lemon plans to open a St. Pete outpost on 4th Street this fall.

The Ciccio Restaurant Group (CRG), the parent company of local restaurant concepts such as Fresh Kitchen, Taco Dirty, and Daily Eats, will debut the new 150-seat Green Lemon at 4400 4th Street North, the former home of Baytenders Oyster Bar & Steamers, which closed in 2019.

Irish party bar The Dublin Drop to debut this winter in downtown St. Pete

The team behind a handful of popular downtown bars including One Night Stand, Pour Judgement, and Whiskey Exchange will open a new Irish-themed party bar called The Dublin Drop in downtown St. Pete.

The bar, which is expected to open by the end of the year, will occupy 3,000 square feet at 129 1st Avenue North in a space connected to There Goes The Neighborhood, another upcoming bar set to debut this winter by the Drink St. Pete hospitality group.

Although The Dublin Drop will serve Irish whiskies and beer, owner Michael Jennings wouldn’t consider it an authentic Irish bar.

Who's picking up the tab for the new Tampa Bay Rays's $1.3 billion ballpark, where’s that funding is coming from, and other lingering questions were answered this week during a seven-hour-long discussion.

On Wednesday morning, St. Pete City Councilmembers, Mayor Ken Welch, and Rays executives hashed out the details of the stadium agreement during a Committee of the Whole workshop meeting.

On Thursday, St. Petersburg City Council preliminarily voted 5-3 to approve a development agreement for the new Rays stadium. The opposing votes came from Councilmembers Hanewicz, Muhammad, and Floyd.

Pinellas County approves $5 million in funding for industrial complex in St. Pete's Gateway area

The Gateway Logistics Center, an industrial complex in St. Petersburg’s Gateway area, is moving forward into the second construction phase thanks to funding from Pinellas County.

Greystar Development East LLC, a subsidiary of Greystar Real Estate Partners, is developing the 61-acre Class A industrial center at 2690 Gateway Centre Parkway on the northeast corner of 28th Street North and Gandy Boulevard.

The commercial project is part of a 93-acre development on a site formerly owned by Jabil Inc., a global manufacturing services company, that once envisioned a new headquarters campus on the property.
