Spellcrafter to bring ritual items and spiritual workshops to the Grand Central District
/A Tarpon Springs metaphysical shop offering spiritual products like tarot and oracle cards, apothecary herbs, teas, tinctures, crystals is opening a sister shop at 2914 1st Avenue North in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District. The space was formerly home to the Academy of Ballet Arts, which recently moved into the ArtsXchange at 515 22nd Street South in the Warehouse Arts District.
The new store will be called Spellcrafter and its soft opening is scheduled for Saturday, February 24th. A grand opening celebration will be held a month later, on Saturday, March 23rd.
“We can’t wait to bring our mission to St. Pete and join the vibrant community there,” Spellcrafter co-owner Madison Walsh stated in a news release.
Their mission is to help their communities improve health, mindfulness, and intentional living.
Spellcrafter will have an array of offerings including tarot and oracle cards, psychic readings, ritual supplies, spiritual workshops, herbs, oils, candles and a large selection of crystals and gems.
Walsh, along with Christy Howard, also owns The Healing Hedge Witch in Tarpon Springs. Both stores, according to the release, “combine magic and nature to support the body, manage the mind, and expand the spirit.”
Spellcrafter will occupy a 4,000-square-foot building that shares a parking lot with Cappy’s Pizza. Howard and Walsh have leased the entire space but Spellcrafter won’t take up all of it — about 2,800 square feet. The co-owners say they have a vision for the rest of the space that will be announced later this year.
Spellcrafter won’t have regular hours during its first month in business, according to the release, but the co-owners say it will be open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays after its grand opening next month.
In the meantime, if you want to check out The Healing Hedge Witch, it’s located at 155 E. Tarpon Avenue, Suite 1, in Tarpon Springs, and open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
The store’s website also features a helpful blog with articles about crystals, candles, home apothecary ingredients, tarot cards, etc.
