Finding a parking spot at one of St. Pete’s most popular steakhouses just got a lot easier, thanks to a major new investment by the restaurant’s owners.
In June, the owners of Beau & Mo’s Italian Steakhouse, located at 2924 5th Avenue North in Historic Kenwood, purchased the neighboring auto shop for $1 million.
The family-owned steakhouse has faced limited parking since it opened in 2015.
The acquisition adds over 30 parking spaces for the 125-seat restaurant, which itself only has 15 on-site spaces.
Guests frequently relied on street parking or overflow parking across the street at the nearby PPG Paint Store.
For now, there are no plans to repurpose the vacant auto shop.

“We’ve been so busy, and our limited parking fills up quickly,” Mo told St. Pete Rising. “We were renting 10 spaces at the auto shop and decided to buy the property to have more parking.”
In a recent social media post, the Wallaces shared their vision for the property: “When we found this old auto shop, we didn’t just see oil stains and roll-up doors—we saw potential. We saw a future filled with sizzling steaks, clinking glasses, and unforgettable evenings. And most importantly… we saw parking.”
The couple salvaged letters from the building’s original sign, which read “Complete Auto Services,” and repurposed them to spell out a playful new message: “You Complete Me.”
They’ve already added bright lighting to the lot and plan to resurface it, add planters, and commission a local artist to paint a mural on the building in the coming weeks.
“We’re trying to do most of the work ourselves,” Mo said.

With parking no longer an issue, the Chicago-style steakhouse is now moving forward with additional changes.
For the first time, Beau & Mo’s is planning to launch a to-go service in the coming weeks.
Beau, a Chicago native who learned to cook from his Sicilian grandmother, leads the kitchen, offering USDA Prime and Australian Wagyu steaks, pastas, escargot, caviar, and a selection of house wines and cocktails.
The to-go service will run daily from 4 to 6 p.m., offering a curated menu that is still being finalized.
Several parking spots in front will be reserved for takeout customers.

New dine-in items are also being added, such as pork chops and meatballs with vodka sauce, pounded veal, and a new dish called “Snails on a Log,” featuring bone marrow topped with escargot.
While Chef Beau continues to lead the kitchen, their daughter Elley, affectionately known as the “steak girl”, now manages day-to-day operations.
“If we’re not cooking or doing bookkeeping, you’ll probably find us dining in as customers,” Mo joked.
Beau & Mo’s is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Happy Hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.
