Shopapalooza one of Florida’s biggest holiday markets returns to the St. Pete waterfront next weekend

The 14th Annual Shopapalooza festival will take place at Vinoy Park on downtown St. Pete’s waterfront on November 29th and 30th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | shopapalooza

One of St. Pete’s largest outdoor markets returns to the downtown waterfront next weekend.

More than 350 craft makers, artists, and nonprofits will fill Vinoy Park at 701 Bayshore Drive NE on November 29th and 30th for this year’s free, two-day Shopapalooza Festival, billed as one of the biggest holiday shopping events in the Southeast.

Shoppers can browse clothing from Pieces of a Dream, Dark Cycle Clothing, and Ashe Couture Boutique, or discover unique gifts from Sans Market, Fox & Crow, Curated Phases, Banyan Books, and The Muddy Walrus Pottery.

Four food areas will feature 40 chefs, restaurants, and food trucks, including Slider Guys, Two Grandma’s Soul Food, Dr. BBQ, Hot Off the Press, The Dude and His Food, and Churned Ice Cream.

Adults can also explore dedicated beer and wine gardens with pours from 3 Daughters Brewing, Mastry’s Brewing Co., and other local favorites.

Live entertainment will run throughout the festival, with indie, rock, and reggae acts on the main stage and roving carolers and vocal performers throughout the park.

Art lovers can also help paint a vibrant Roseate Spoonbill and Blue Heron mural in a guided paint-by-numbers experience led by local muralist Alyssa Marie. Pre-registration is recommended for those who want to reserve a painting spot.

Families will find plenty to do as well. The St. Pete Bookmobile will be onsite, along with free oversized yard games and an adoptable pet fashion show on Sunday — skunks included.

A large kids zone at the south end of the festival will offer ornament making, playdough sculpting, slime tables, games, outdoor obstacles, and more.

The expanded “Kidpreneurs Zone” will spotlight 30 youth-run businesses.

Kids can also snap photos with Tampa Bay Rays mascots Raymond and DJ Kitty, along with Santa at select times.

Visitors looking to take a break can unwind inside a shady, 10,000-square-foot outdoor Glam Lounge.

Th festival is produced by LocalShops1, a local business advocacy group, with support from the City of St. Petersburg. The event’s nonprofit partners are St. Pete Youth Farm and Jump for Kids.

Parking is available in garages throughout downtown, and free trolley service will shuttle attendees between Shopapalooza and the Southcore Parking Garage on 2nd Street South between Central and 1st Avenues.

Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome.
