Coffee and concrete may seem like an unlikely match, but two local businesses are making it work.

After opening to rave reviews in Seminole two years ago, local coffee shop and café Sugar Baby has quietly debuted a new location inside a concrete design studio in St. Pete’s Warehouse Arts District.

Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can stop by Form43, located at 2621 Fairfield Avenue South, to grab a drink from Sugar Baby’s new coffee bar and wander through the 2,880-square-foot space filled with modern art installations, concrete furniture, and tropical greenery in concrete planters.

The new setup is more than just a pop-up. It’s a true collaboration between two local businesses with a shared vision of blending art, design, and community.

Mikey Lambert, owner of EastCoast Concrete, and Victoria Shivock, who co-founded Sugar Baby with her husband Yauhen Yurhelevich, came up with the idea after connecting over lattes at Sugar Baby’s Seminole location.

“Sugar Baby gets so busy that we started thinking about a second location,” Shivock said. “After talking with Mikey, we decided to team up to bring the concept to his beautiful Form43 studio. Every detail of the space is incredible.”

Lambert bought the Form43 warehouse in November 2024 with the goal of creating a place to showcase EastCoast Concrete’s products while hosting art events and community gatherings.

The studio features pieces made from leftover concrete, including candle holders, plates, and vases. Many of these designs are used right at the coffee bar.

“Every pastry is served on a concrete plate and hot drinks are delivered on concrete saucers made by us. We are intentionally blending our worlds,” said Lambert.

On Sundays, Sugar Baby serves up a full espresso bar with signature drinks and fresh pastries from St. Pete’s own Cafe Clementine. You’ll also find a live DJ spinning music and fresh flowers available for purchase.

Behind the minimalist concrete bar, customers can order fan favorites like the Strawberry Matcha Latte, which contains house-made strawberry syrup and strawberry cold foam, and the exclusive Form43 Latte made with lavender syrup and activated charcoal.

Sugar Baby uses beans sourced from Tampa-based Buddy Brew Coffee for espresso and St. Pete-based Look Alive Coffee for drip.

A food truck is also on the way and will be parked in Form43’s outdoor patio, allowing Sugar Baby to offer its full food menu.

Sugar Baby’s Seminole location is known for its scratch-made breakfast and lunch menu featuring dishes like the signature Sugar Baby Toast, which is a six-minute egg, salmon spread, avocado, pickled red onion, and micro cilantro on sourdough toast.

Another standout is the Coconut Crunch Bowl made with coconut yogurt, house-made granola, pineapple, goji berries, chia, fresh berries, mint, and a blueberry lavender compote.

While this location is currently open only on Sundays, Sugar Baby is expected to expand to seven days a week in 2 to 3 months.

Until then, you can visit Sugar Baby’s Seminole location at 9191 Park Boulevard, open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
